What Is a Screens Producer? What Is Media Operations?
Abstract
The role of a Screens Producer in live entertainment production is relatively new. This evolving position has been adopted by many production teams but is still often missing on shows where video screens dominate the scenic environment. Critical to good communication in the video department, a Screens Producer is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a video pixel from design to output on screen. In this chapter, we’ll look at the responsibilities of a Screens Producer, how they differ from Projection Designers and Media Server Programmers, and how they engage with other production team members.
