Abstract
Documentation and communication practices are essential for video production in live events. Chapter 2 highlights the disparity of established disciplines like lighting and scenic design that have mature documentation techniques, to the evolving field of video production, which lacks a mature documentation practice. The chapter identifies common communication issues, and emphasizes the role of the Screens Producer to lead clear communication between different teams within the video production department. The Screen Producer’s goal is to establish a clear and adaptable practice for the Media Operations team for any application of video screens for entertainment.
